 OUCH!!!
I put trims for the 10k's. I like having them in there.
The little cap to ground near output I socketted, as well of course the transistors.
This circuit sounds really great, 'right out of the box'...Thanks Doug H. and friends...Excellent built.
 For a little different kick, I have a J201 for Q2, [Q1 of FF] BC108 [hfe 204] for Q3 [FF Q2]. And a smaller rolloff cap  .0068uf.
 Makes a Fabulous Fuzz!!!
Oh I seriesed a 2k2 and a 1k 'under' the gain knob of 1k, I can jumper one I think and still go well over the top with the gain knob.
OT side note...the transistors from the monitor board, BSX60's...these are just fine sounding NPN [I measured 140 hfe on one of them] transistors..the BIG Top Hats look cool too. Nothing extra special worth noting on them, like a 3904 or similar.
With the J201 in Q1, it's less rasp, more smooth, and the treble can be upped a bit and have similar grit level with more highs...for different Jfet smoothie tone I found also quite pleasing !!!
Thanks again Doug for doing a great job on this !!!
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Sounds good!

I'll try the JFET idea sometime.
