haaaaaaaa  thats too true man.

i feel what you are saying. i was accepted at GIT Eleven years ago in my junior year of highschool but parents would let me go and layout of school a year.

i am going to say one final thing and not hijack threads or participating in thread hijacking anymore  :D

i think when you first start out its good to find  someone to emulate to some degree as it will help you develop faster when you acomplish something that you want to learn vs. just learning the scales cause it will make you a better player,  you can tell  someone that all day long, but if you say if you want to sound like artist blah you need to be comfortable with these techniques first.  and give examples it makes for a better student with quicker result..

shoot i dont' like country music man but by teaching Kids how to play it they were happy and went home and learned their lessons.

Now When things settle down i am going back to teaching Intermediate Shred and Theory.

for the record My Third Magor was Music also

Hi there,

i am interested in building this Legacy JFET emulator. But the PCB file doesn't open in ExpressPCB 6.1.4.

The sch file opens correctly.

Do you also have a perfboard layout ? (or a jfet emulator general layout, to adapt for this particular build ?)

Thanx in advance, have a nice time

demym

I've begun to breadboard this project (even if i don't have all the exact parts needed, just maded a big order).. So, using parts that have similar values, and using 100k trims instead of 47k ones, and having only the first three stages breadboarded, i must say that it begins to sound good !

Is using 47k trimpots necessary ? Or could i use te 100k ones ? And in this latter case, should the biasing voltage be alwasy 4.5V ?

Thanks in advance

you do realize the post you replied to is over 5 years old?

Good luck anyway!

demym

Oh sure Auke, now that you've told me, yes !!

Excuse me, i'm new to this hobbie, and all informations, even the old ones, are crucial.

Have a nice time, bye

Very true.

I'm just pointing out that you could have better chances getting a reply by starting a new thread (as you did, I think).

It's a great hobby, keep it up!

Bump from the grave.

The pcb files linked to in this thread are all invalid. Does anyone have working pcb files?

Thanks.

I don't have the one in the original post but I have this one made by Seemann Customs from the same schematic. I have built it using this layout and it works..

Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

Thanks!

would you happen to have the info on where the power connections, in, out, and board-to-board wiring goes?
