Anyone know of a Schem with an available perfboard layout for a Rangemaster circuit rather than the tagboard or PC.

Runoff Grooves perfbaord template...print that, then draw the [7?] parts on there how you want them, basically connect the dots from the schematic.
I would socket the transistor, get some from Small Bear or measure your own for leaks and gain hfe so you can setup the bias 'right'.
I test with a cheep pnp Si [3906 etc] till I get something 'normal', then stick the more valued Ge transistor in for final tweeking.

Thanks Pete, I've got a few Ge trannies that I can try out and see what results I get.

Pete !!!!!! I would like to use an extra stomp switch for going between caps for treble and full boost similar to the MJM RM booster can you offer any advice on cap values.

.0068uf -  stick it to the board or switch
 .047uf or there abouts socketted
Basically socket the one, and switch the other...
Then start by trying out differente values for the 'other' one [by using the socket]...then fix the chosen value to the switch, and repeat testing values for the 'one' that you can leave in the socket.
Alot depends on all it depends on, best way is to have a socket there I think...
You can use different switches/wirings for  selecting input capacitence values, what kind of a switch do you have?

Thanks Pete, I'll try that out using either a DPDT or 3PDT or even a minitoggle I suppose would suffice.
