"Standard" bi-polar PSU connector?

When I added PSU connectors to my old pedals (Cry Baby, MXR, fOXX, etc.) I used one of the basic connectors sold by Radio Shack (for convenience). When I added bi-polar connectors I used a stereo min phone (3.5mm) connector for my Jet Phaser and PAiA boxes.

I plan on adding several new boxes to my pedal collection and am considering changing both kinds of connectors -- especially my +9v, -9v connectors (I don't really like the stereo 3.5mm jacks and plugs for a number of reasons).

Is there something of a standard connector for these or a preferance that people have in these regards?

Not a single reply.

Well let me ask this, what do commercial effects use these days?

Anyone?

Well, that's a start! :D

But, since I don't own any Boss effects (let alone +9v, -9v effects) can you or anyone tell me what type of connector this is?

Thanks!

Thanks RDV,  :? but that's still only single pole power not bipolar.

Maybe no 18v effects have power connectors?

You can use an XLR for hefty connections, use a DIN or use a stereo miniplug ().There's others.

the bipolar pedals I own use an AC supply. It's rectified, filtered and regulated in the pedal.
