EL34...any use besides amps?

I have a matched pair Groove Tubes EL34s, and I'm wondering if their only use is in a tube amp, or could I use them in a tube preamp.  If I can't build a preamp with them, which I don't think I can, does anyone need them?  Killer deals right here baby

Yes I could use some nice 34's
 I have two amps that use the [one uses 4 the other uses 2] and I use them alll the time...will need replacements eventually.
 PM me and say how much you want for them !!!

You ...could... build a preamp out of them, but I would imagine them shining more as output devices.

I have seen one HiFi schematic that used EL84s for every stage including output, preamp, and PI.
