i found this MID and BASS boost on a circuit simulator and it looks like it would work just find for a guitar,, its simple and easy to build, i drew the schematics so that i could share them with you guys,  the schematics r here:     http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4241292&a=31434379&f=         the file is called "BOOSTs" and its on the bottom,, see ya!

just a thought--is there much 10Hz information in a typical guitar signal?

Not really... But if you mod the part values you can probably make it boost a bit higher too like 100Hz. Just try different cap values.

It also might be just a typing error and it might mean 100Hz

When modding keep in mind that it (I mean the bass booster) boosts everything below the "selected" frequency (or that's what it looks like to me) and ofcource the slope between the boosted and non boosted frequencies is not a brick wall (probably more like 6dB/octave).

how the boost frequency and band width are calculated?

Just a question:
Are you shure that pin 2 and pin 4 are tied together here?
2 usually takes either Vref (if single supply) or ground (if bipolar supply), but never before I saw it tied directly to gound pin.

nero1985

well it only said that (-) goes to ground so the op amp usually needs a ground point to work with the power supply and thats where the ground usually goes,,,,,

this is what the simulator shows
MID BOOST (pot 0%, u gotta wire in the reverse way so that u get the boost with the pot on 100%)

MID BOOST (pot 100%, u gotta wire in the reverse way so that u get the cut with the pot on 0%)

BASS BOOST (pot 0%, u gotta wire in the reverse way so that u get the cut with the pot on 100%)
