I remember seeing Mahogany Rush in the mid-70s, they were opening for somebody and the thing that I remember the most was that at some point Frank did a guitar solo spot unaccompanied and it was simply stunning!

I remember him playing these fantastic tasty licks with blinding speed while holding the guitar by only his fretting hand.  The guitar was unstrapped and hanging from his left hand and he's rocking it back and forth like a pendulum on an old clock and there's this strobe light blinking on and off during all of this!  Man, that was something to see.

Awesome guitarist, musician and entertainer!

I just joined Frank's forum on his website and invited him to join us here. I sure hope he will, how cool would that be!

I also remember feeling like I was losing my balance while Frank was twirling his guitar in the air.

That was either because of high db levels or possibly the thick cloud of smoke from the crowd!

Oh, the memories.    8^)

Wow! I got an answer from Frank himself. I'll tell you what boys, it takes a lot for me to be starstruck, I mean Mick Jagger or most of those rockstar guys could walk right up to me and I wouldn't care less, but Frank Marino. EEEEK!

Here's what he said about coming to join us:

"Thanks for the link to the site. I checked it out... cool stuff and a bunch of cool people. I might not post for awhile, but I'll read it from time to time. If I can find a schematic or two that I think you might find interesting, I'll send it on over"

Coolest!
