Green Ringer transfer

Hi, this my first post.

I have attempted to transfer my WD Green Ringer from it's original enclosure (that plugs into the guitar) to a stompbox.  I followed a diagram I found on the General Guitar Gadgets site that includes true-bypass switching (3PDT), an LED and a 9v dc jack.  However, I can't seem to get it to work.  The bypass works fine but the LED doesn't light and when the unit is "on" I get a volume drop and no octave action.  I suspect the problem has to do with the WD GR being a PNP device and the GGG diagram showing an NPN layout.

Any wiring advice and/or diagrams would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

2 circuit box first test...
 DMM continuity [beep] setting
 black to -
 red to +
circuit battery clip, mono 1/4'' phono plug inserted to input [on circuits with PS off trick].
If it beeps, don't connect the battery till you find the short.

NPN and PNP circuits do not mix in one box without 'extra measures.

Every version I know of the Green Ringer has both NPN and PNP transistors, so maybe you mean Pos. Ground VS. Neg Ground? I have never built a pos. ground circuit with a 3PDT and LED. I usually build them sans LED/ DC jack and use a DPDT, so I'm not sure what issues might come up. The Green Ringer is not as kind to batteries as a Fuzz Face, so I can see why you would want a DC jack. I'm sure you can get TBP, but the LED and DC jack might be more problematic with a Pos. Ground design in actual practice.

Good Luck

LED indicator for PNP POs ground is just a 1/2 turn [pole swap] of the LED.
Seems like if the DC jack [on a pos gnd box] was running from the same PS as another [neg gnd] shielded box, and they touched...you'd have a connection from power supply - to +.

Positive Ground is what I meant.  I'll look into swapping it out into an enclosure without the dc jack or LED.  Then, I'll build the neg. ground version on the GGG site.

Thanks for your input!
