Thanx in advance.

If you want the layout for the Micro Synth, send me a e-mail. But I believe that you're talking about the Guitar Synth, not the Guitar Micro Synth, which are different beasts.

jrc4558

Ah, actually, I would like to look at both!
Schematics too, if you have of course. :)

Thank you kindly.

My tracings of the EH Guitar Synth are on Mark Hammer's site and a photo of my stripboarding of it is here somewhere. There is a discontinued part - TL601 switch used in the muting circuit from memory, and there are 2 of them. I'm sure someone here would be able to find a workaround.

Oh, Markos. When you will be sending the pictures as attachments, don't send them all in one e-mail. I don't think hotmail accepts more than 2Mb of attachments at a time now. Thank you very much.

Marcos - Munky

I sent the files. I don't have the Stephen's layout for the Guitar Synth, if anybody have it, please send it to me.

StephenGiles

I don't think anyone has a layout for the EH Guitar Synth, so there's a job for someone over Christmas. Mine is on Veroboard, as you know, currently not working, and don't even think about asking for a Veroboard layout!!!!!

Ahm...

Can I please have a vero-board layout?

Damn!!!

I knew I was forgetting something. :)

Well we'll have to bribe Santa this year.

StephenGiles

This is the board I made in 1980-81. No layout exists I'm afraid.

Pretty impressive build (even if it isn't working, it's quite a job getting it to look like that).  I would really like to see the schematic to that, so if anyone has it, my email adr is transmogrifox@yahoo.com

Oh my !%$& god...
Stephen, I bow to you...
This is incredible...
I think I'll pass for now. Unless I can buy a board for it somewhere...

Marcos - Munky

Hey Transmogrifox, check your e-mail.

Transmogrifox

Thanks a bunch.  It will be a cool one to chew on for a while.

I managed to join together 7 scans I did of the original circuit so you can see just what you are up against!

Zero the hero

Sounds like a nice challenge...
I have not much time now, but a layout for this beast could be very interesting.
Stephen ,that's a job that I can do (soon). Is the schematic correct? The one you posted is a factory schem? Which is the obsolete part? Does this circuit work with an hex pick-up or with a standard one?
I'm going to PM you!!!  8)

obsolete: TL601 switcher
monophonic (single input)

Zero the hero

I've found the datasheet (thnkx TI).
A couple of OR ports and a 4066 should replace this chip.
Dunno if there's a pin-to-pin equivalent: I'll do more search
I have to go back to work...  :?
