Hi All,
I scored a ce-1. A little beat up but sounds nice. Despite people saying these pedals can be noisy, mine is actually really quiet. I think it’s dependent on the bbd chip â€" some are noisier than others?

Does anyone have a boss ce-1 manual/service manual?
Has anyone done mods to the ce-1 apart from the level pot change (which I found helps improve the tonesucking quite alot)?
Does anyone know of the paul rivera mods done to the ce-1 way back?

Thanks in advance!

Just got a roland CE-1 service manual from Roland (near my work) for $1 - very rare, complete layout diagram/schems.

can't remember but i think a common one is raising the input pot, from 50k to 500k or 1meg to raise the impedance and avoid loosing highs. Guess it's because it was supposed to be for keyboards, as a first choice...then they began using them for guitars. Someone with more experience can chime...
