1.Anyone have any pics of the electronics(trace side also) of the Mutron Octave Divider?

2. i have bought the schematics and have drawn up my own with PCB123, but am still learning the design part so do not have a board yet. i want to clone this pedal for myself but need a more capable PCB designer to maybe give it an attempt so that i may order or etch my own board. i would like to post the schematic here, but don't want to cause any copyright infringements so i will go on the advise of this very knowledgeable forum.

3.can i post my PCB123 schem of the original? The original is in two parts for two boards, mine is all in one, Referenced different and PCB123 schem symbols. so it does resemble parts but not an identical copy of the original.

I don't want to offend anyone or cause any infridgements. all i want to do is make a Mutron Octave divider For myself and maybe a backup. hope i can get some help, peace waldo

if you`ve drawn that schematic yourself completely,
then you own the copyright to that selfmade drawing yourself;
in that case, nobody would mind you posting it,
concerning copyright reasons.

if that pedal were a relatively new one, or in production,
or from a small "booteeker",
some people might rather not like to see it posted;

I`m not a lawyer, but I can imagine, that in your case
nobody would mind
(except maybe Mike Beigel, or possibly
a company that might want to re-issue it...?).

I hope you`ll find someone who got the time to do a layout...   :)

thanks for the advice PureTube. i really do appreciate it. maybe instead of posting i could just email any willing participants, just to stay on the safe side.

Also i do not believe there is a close clone of the M.O.D out there besides maybe the boss OC-2 but the M.O.D had a some sorta stabilize function and one of dan armstrongs boxes incorporated in it from what i have read.  peace, waldo

I'd be interested. I even bought a schematic for it once, only to find out that it included no values for it. Love to see your schematic!!

this is my first attempt at this so bare with me. to much traffic will turn my geocities site down, so get it while you can. if to much traffic i will resort to emailing, sorry. peace waldo

you`re welcome!
(I`ve read the "?" thread very thoroughly, and am so "picky"  :wink:  :) , that I think you need/deserve an honest answer/help with your request).

Maybe I`m one of the most careful/conservative people around here,
concerning IP/copyrights, i.e.: the worst person to ask ( :lol: );

To be honest: my guess is, that over 99% of the members here
wouldn`t have any objections against having a look at that schem,
or would fear any consequences, if they posted it...

if U post the layout,
post it in jpg, bmp or other normal graphic format.  or even pdf.
i can't read the propritiery escpressPCB or PCBexpress files.
thanx
Isn't MuTron out of business???
like, 4 over 20years???

yes PureTube i fear that my last post for pics of the trace side of the mutron octave divider was the straw that started the "?" thread. maybe or maybe not. i know that i was referenced in gus's first post. i thought that an honest question would receive an honest answer, but maybe i just asked at the wrong time. i know that no one in this forum owes me anything and likewise. i also truly appreciate any advise, help or just clarification on things that you or the forum have already provided in all the post in this great forum. this is going to be my 5th project and i would not be trying it if it weren't for this awesome forum. it really is a great forum and thanks again for the advise PureTube. peace waldo :D
