How much capacitance makes a circuit non TB?

Re. the use of a 4016 switch: if, when the battery or PSU fails completely, you can hit the footswitch and the unaffected signal comes through loud and clear, then, yeah, it's true bypass. It means you can bypass the stompbox when something goes seriously wrong, and still pass a signal down the chain as if the box had been removed altogether.

At least, that's what it means to me...

I think one of my posts got deleted in this thread.  It quoted RG and said "but the ends justify the means (machiavelli)" then linked to the DL4 bypass thread.

I wasn't thinking about the prospect of a power failure, but it is a good point.
