Bump to try to regain interest... how is getting them custom made going, puretube?

puretube

Why not?

ain`t got no time - too busy...

btw.: how`s GB and the guitar?

Have to say this is the best idea for quick circuit production.  The pen idea is nice, but that ink is gloppy, and not nearly as easy to draw with as a nice sharpie.  Pre-drilled, solid copper board would be perfect for so many small projects too -- like the fezter valve, millenium bypass, small distortion circuits, etc.  It would make it so easy to compress designs and get smaller boards...the neatness of etched boards and the flexibility of perf.

I'm asking every company I can find about their willingness to mull it over, so if anyone latches on, I'll rush word back here!

yes, the stuff exists. there's tons of it where i work, not sure where they get it, but I'd check Digikey - they order most if not all their supplies from there. I was thinking of using it, but instead of etching, using an xacto knife to score the traces in - but that's hard/dangerous work for a circuit of any size.

Ooooh... please keep us updated.  You too, lethargytartare.

I am doing quite well in GB, puretube, my guitar was recently strung up and I will start finishing in a week or so.

I can't see much (if any!) advantage of predrilled copper over pad.per.hole, what am i missing?
Mind you, the more different stuff the better, so i'm all for it, but???

I'd like pad per hole, but with surface mount pads scattered about!

puretube

move your mind - your (etch-resistive) pen will follow...

Because you could draw the circuit on with a pen instead of trying to make ink or PnP blue stick, and you wouldn't have to drill.

I think clearly people are fairly interested in it.

Any more news?

As pointed out by pbrommer... what about this:

Sroll down to the first big picture of a board... it says one side copper clad punch board.  Sounds good to me?

Digikey and Mouser have it, but it is NOT CHEAP!!!

How much would you pay for square inch?

I can do 0.1" spacing for holes or any other spacing.

Well...  if pad per hole is 8 sq inches for 1.50, about, and copper clad board is about $1.20 for 8 sq inches... then let's say you add that up, that's from 30c to 40c per sq inch, about.

Hmm... Maybe I'll do an experiment.

I doubt it's cost effective for me to produce though.
