LM386, bass, sounds farty

I have seen the ruby, I've actually been thinking about trying it with the bass man mods.  However, I tried this current circuit that I am working on because I had the parts lying around.

I think my next step will be to order some parts and go for the ruby amp circuit.  In another thread I asked about using the Ruby schematic to make a smokey amp type of thing for bass.  I still might do that if the circuit works for me.  I plan on using an 8" driver for that.

If I don't like that circuit the HA-1 style circuit will be next on the list.

I'm ging to wait after christmas though.  I should be getting a radioshack gift card (a littel birdy told me) and will probably pick up a breadboard, yeah, that's right, I don't have a breadboard!  I've been perfing all of this  I have enough perfboard to choke a horse!
