sort of OT: why would you pay 310+ US for a fuzzface?

is it more of the collection value, or are there some un-cloneable sonic aspects of old-timey fuzz boxes?

The "worst" case of "vintage Ebay feaver" I've seen was an original "thin case" TS808, last year which went for £420  !! thats about 800 bucks . . . :roll:

Thats NOT a good deal, even if it was a "Hendrix" pedal  !!

I would...If they were having a '85% off' sale, and 'everything' [80% socketted components] was socketted, Trimpot on Q2, and it came with a large batch of various alternate components.
