Hi guys!

I was spraying an enclosure on my patio tonight and was a little careless. Some of the paint crept under the old papers I had layed out, and now I have some paint stains on a few of the stone tiles. What can I do to remove the paint?

Thanks!

I would start with paint thinner or mineral spirits. In the US, we have a nasty little solvent blend called "Goof Off". Acetone is another to try. Good thing it's outdoors, cuz all this stuff is pretty nasty fume-wise. Abrasives might also work, but would most likely leave a mark. In general it's best to keep your solvent of choice and a rag handy for just such an occasion, as it's best to remove overspray when it's still wet.

Alternately, just paint the rest of the tile, and glue some knobs on.  Tell everyone it's a Small Stone.

thanks guys. I'll probably go for the "small stone" solution  :D

Teflon scratch pad...might help
experiment with steel wool in unnoticed spot at own risk
Acetone [nail remover]...start with some in a spot on a rag and limit exposure...that's more for finishes, but acetone might cut it some, I don't think It'll damage tile surfaces.

Depends on what kind of 'stone' the tiles are.
Some materials are porous & if you try to dissolve the paint out it will get worse as pigment soaks in to some depth.
I would wait till dry, then try to scrape off, if it is material that can handle scraping. And  depending on how much is there.
Oven cleaner is worth a try if you don't want to buy special paint remover.

it's indeed pretty porous; maybe the scraping off approach might work best.
