ACA to PSA? CE2

I have a MIJ CE2 that I modded in a Keeley fashion. It sounds pretty good but I would like it to have a bit less gain and more head room. I searched old posts and fond the "ACA to PSA mod".
Apparently the ASA adapter delivered higher voltage than the PSA? It could therefore be of value to mod the old CE2 from ACA to PSA to get more head room.

The mod described was: remove (jumper?) D5, remove and jumper! R53, remove D7 and replace with D5, change C30 to an elyt at > 16V (original is at 10V).

Keeley describes a power supply mod like this: “Power supply filter modded so that standard power supplies work better.  Higher voltage leads to better headroom”. So he seems to think along the same lines.

I have the schem and the changes makes sense to me. I do, however have a hard time finding the components on the board, there are no numbers on my old board...
Any help appreciated!

The only CE2 inside pic i found was http://www.robertkeeley.com/keeley/images/other/ce2_inside.jpg

jplaudio has an ACA to PSA mod on his website. I tried it on an older Boss Compression/Sustainer and it worked great. The pedal has less noise somehow after the mod.

The easiest way to find the parts to remove and jumper is to trace from the board pads, which ARE numbered.  The ground wire from the adapter input jack leads to pad 4 on the board.  Between pad 4 and pad 3 which leads back to the input jack ring lug are D5 and R53.  D7 can be found by tracing from pad 9 on the board.

I've done a couple of CE-2 mods and personally I'd check ALL of the electrolytic caps.  10V rated caps in a pedal that runs on 9V is not something I'd do.  C30 is 220uF BTW and should be quite close to D7.

Tahnk you both.
Did the mod and it worked great. More head room.
