Question about DOD Power supply

Hi guys!

Lately I've been considering buying a DC adapter for my DOD FX56 distortion pedal, instead of using a 9V battery. The one offered by DOD is like 30$ CAN, which  I think is a total rip-off. I could get an equivalent for 6$ here in an electronic store. But the female plug (pedal) doesn't seem too conventional. I tried a mono jack 1/8'' and it seems to work quite well (I checked the continuity and it's fine). Any advice concerning this ?
Thanks
Vincent

U could use a LM317 adjustable reg and adj for nine.point.zero volts.
i'm working on a quickie layout for a 3-voltage-selectable 317pcb.
Built a prototype for my MeatBall 2 switch Btween 9V & 12V.
Works AOK.  I used a 17VDC unregulated wallwart for the xfmr.
My plan is 2 use a diode bridge in front of the whole shebang.
That way, U could use an AC *or* a DC wallwart to power the 317adj.
Also, by incorporating the bridge, don't have to worry bout polarity.
The bridge will *automatically* "straighten out" the DC.
I plan on making several pcbs extra.
4 an extra pcb, LMK B4 end of week, as i plan on etching on the 20th.
i'm thinking, $10 including regular PO shipping.
4 pics of my prototype, give me a PM.
