Weird Boss Sd-1 led problem...

I own a stock sd-1 that i changed out the 3mm led with a 5mm blue led but after a few hours the led seems to stop working. I use a 9v adapter. I took it out earlier and re solderd it and it worked again, but after a few hours it stoped working again. The pedal continues to work though.

Any ideas?

Xm... I've made this to an Boss Metal Zone but I can't remember what I've changed. I think you may have to bypass a diode or use a bigger led resistor. :?  Good luck!
