Hello everybody,

I'm currently building my Soundlab Mini-Synth DIY synthesizer and I want to beef it up with some cool mods...
One thing I'm planning to do is to add a thing called the "wobblevision" into it...

If you don't know what I'm talking about, check this out:

But the thing is: I don't want to use a normal sized TV. Instead I plan on using one of those mini TV that you can hook up to your 12V car battery...

Do you think that this will work similary with a smaller TV-tube?
It would be REALLY cool to see your synth sound on a built in monitor!!!
What do you think?

can't stop thinking about this...
how would I implement some sort of LCD oscilloscope?
(i know, it's getting ridiculous :) )

Wonderful opportunities for destroying TVs, destroying amps, and electrocution here, just for the sake of a crude Lissajous figure?

I you're going to try something like this, use an old computer and a couple of cheap AD converters, don't mess with CRT voltages.

Ge_Whiz: I know, you are correct...electrocution is a risk here :/

That's why I was thinking of LCDs now...Using old computers means that this gimmick would use quite a lot of space which I don't want...
A plus for an old b/w CRT would be its crappy analog looks which I like very much...

Can't get it out of my head. Still...

hhhhmmmm doesnt seem to tricky to me. we have an old TV sitting about somewhere, i might have to give this a go tho i think ill try to rig some sort of impedance matching circuit inbetween the CRT and the audio source. methinks there will just be alot of playing about to do
LET US INSTIGATE THE REVOLT,DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM!
