I've made a circuit in circuitmaker 2000 that I want to put on a PCB.  However, the IC that I chose (TL074) is not "grouping" or "packaging" with my other OPAMPS!  When I go from schematic to autorouting layout, I have 4 TL074's lying on the PCB instead of one.  Does anybody know why this is happening and how to fix it?

toneman

the TL074 is a* quad* opamp..
mayB program thinks its four "singles".(?)
there's probably a "help" file about multiple devices in same package.

The program is sticking on 4 14 pin TL074's instead of 1.  Whoever wrote the help file should be punished; the content is useless.  Somebody has to be using Circuitmaker, right?

... and would you have had the layout done in a manual setup instead of autorouting by now???

hahaha   NO.  I truly suck at manual routing....  But heck, at least I'm working for the good of DIY'ers.  Currently I am attempting to make a PCB for the SANSAMP CLASSIC.  Heck I just got it to work, so nevermind about it.

Do not autorouting in circuitmaker, is a mess , just do 1 by 1 .... circuit maker 2000 have some errors ... i use for a long time , but i use other program ....... electronic workbench and expresspcb ......

btw if you do automatic routing the program divide the opamp in 4 layers ...

Gee, I don't know.. but if you'd been laying it out in stripboard, it would be BUILT by now

Dead cert, mate.

Any time you want ONE of a thing, just build it. Only if you want more do you do a PCB.

I'm making a PCB for the Sansamp classic for the DIY community; I really like the sound the sansamp classic.  Anyways, I'll give the PCB board design to Tonepad and several other places so we can make a new project!

That's cool.  As I said, more than one, you do a PCB.

I still think you personally would be better served to do it manually, and the results would be better, but that's just my opinion, and everybody has one of those.

Go for it.

Everybody has a sansamp classic?  I doubt that.  Most people have the GT2, but I don't think the classic.  If I remember right, the GT2 is a run down version of the classic.

No, I meant opinions - I was just pointing out that my opinion isn't worth more than anyone else's.

I don't know much about sansamps at all. Never looked.
