a simple question for users/builders of mxr blue box

built one of this and it's really a huge free nice dist random synth etc etc.... :lol:
the question is: at extreme settings, high volume and the second knob in max position there is a bit of distorted self oscillating signal; is this correct for that beast??

It gets a pretty good fuzz with both controls maxed.  I used to have one, but got rid of it because it was too damn weird.  I played demented Nintendo music that made me laugh maniacally.
