I notice that there are some guys from the Netherlands over at this forum. As I am quite new to all of this, I was wondering if you guys found a good online shop to buy your stuff from. Something like "Das Musikding", which I'm using now, but a Dutch site.
Thanks for any help.

Arno van der Heijden

You can try www.conrad.nl

It has almost everything you need, but is very expensive and charges a lot of shipping and handling costs.
Why does it have to be specifically in the Netherlands?

EdJ

I think there was a shop in Aalsmeer where you can shop online.
Try google.
Greetings,Ed

It doesn't HAVE to be the Netherlands. I just wondered if a dutch online shop could deliver faster, or maybe with lower delivery costs.
Actually, a shop like Das Musikding is ideal for me. They really specialize in effects related stuff, so I don't have to search through all of the other IC's and transistors, but can find the relevant components instantly.
My local electronics shop has a lot of things, but not all of the correct transistors. Also they don't have all of the specific transistors, and no stuff like knobs, hammond boxes, etc.

i use banzai in berlin, great service and they have a lot of specific DIY stuff, and they are not expensive,

hilbi,
thanks for the great link. I'll compare them to das musikding, who have been nice to work with sofar.

Another great one is http://www.tube-town.de/ (pots, knobs, switches, enclosures, optocouplers...)

I have had excellent service from both Banzai and Smallbear.  Banzai has the advantage for us Europeans that it is closer and in the EU, therefore there are no customs charges to worry about regardless of the size of your order.

Problem with all options mentioned above is that their effects specific assortment of components doest't compare in any way to something like smallbear. Apart from that I don't consider these guys cheap. I don't see why I should pay some 9 euro's for a 3PDT if I can get it for 6 dollars as well. Especially with the current conversion rate of euro's vs dollars.
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

I don't really like Conrad, but they are cheap. A lot of cheap stuff is B-spec, though (or at least that's what it looks like)
Cheap, and good for me so far (GREAT deals on ultra bright LEDs):
www.reichelt.de
Digikey also delivers here:

Haven't tried this one but look spromising:

If you can get them to deliver to individual customers, farnell has a good solid stock

Delft is unfortunately not *very* close to Tilburg, but there's possibly THE best electronics shop of the Benelux here - HEC (Hoogh Electronica Components) - remember the name. Harrie carries loads of stuff that's unavailable elsewhere or even out of production, and is a walking electronics-encyclopedia. The guy even once talked me through a particularly difficult TV-repair  over the phone while helping customers at the same time. If you're ever in the neighbourhood, stop by. If you are searching for something, I could check, too.
finally - Smallbear! For all that specialised stuff that we need. Forget about getting footswitches and stuff like that in regular (online) stores. HEC does carry the Miyama switch (as used in that SHO clone that ZV has up on his site) but that one I wouldn't use to carry signal.

Hi guys,

In the Netherlands / Belgium you can also shop at http://www.newtone-online.nl

Good Luck

Gert-Jan
I like analog

Bernardduur

I can get all my parts from next door; here in Nijmegen is a great place for parts. Things I can't get I order from Smallbear.
Am learning something new every day here

How about Vintage Planet?

A lot of synth parts, but definite stompbox-worthy stuff, too.

Cheers,

Gert-Jan, is your site related to the German site from Das Musikding? They look very similar.

Oh and by the way, for leds I found this place: www.world-led.com. Cheap LEDs (if you're talking small quantities of course) and cheap shipping inside the Netherlands. Ordered a bunch of leds (14, 10 diffuse bright ones and 4 duo colors) and it cost me â,¬4,75 including shipping of â,¬1,75. Shipping is not super fast but not bad, got it within a week.
