Hi there.
I just had my local tech have a look at my broken Crumar synth when he gave me a broken "AP Musical Instruments S-303 analog echo"...
anybody ever heard of this unit?
It seems quite old and was manufactured by Keiwa Elec. Corporation from Japan...it has BBD chips on there and runs off 230V...

I might be able to make some pictures if you like...

Has anybody ever heard of this manufacturer or the unit itself?
Can't google up anything....

EDIT:
I just took a quick look on the pcb and there is a MN3005 along with various other ICs... I can also see quite many of a to me unkown part...
i think it's a resitor or some sort of diode(?)...It's made of glass...
It reads "1550K 50WV"...

I can make better ones if needed...
Thank you!  :D

Never heard of the manufacturer, but the majority of such units - i.e., the late 70's, early 80's "desktop" delays - follow pretty much the same topography: 2 op-amp LFO, MN3101/MN3005 pair, 3 or 6 poles of lowpass filtering before and after the BBD, and several options for padding down the input or not, depending on whether you intend to use it with an instrument or a mixer.  Some will have a compander for noise management (NE570 or 571) and some won't.

All of these units are salvageable and worth hanging onto for sonic experiments.

The unknown part is just a polystyrene cap. Read the value in pf. 1500pf=.0015=1n5 etc...
