I have this 50K slide pot which i want to turn into a 100K pot so i can use it in my wah pedal i'm making.

Is is possible to put a resistor between lugs 1 and 3 or would i have to get two pots and put them in series and make sure i pull them at the same time?

to get 100k of variance from a 50k is impossible.
to get 50k variance 'within' 100k total R value...stick a 50k on an outside lug [pot goes variable R between 0k-50k or 50k-100k]
Two 25k resistors with pot 'sandwiched'...you get to tune between 25k and 75k
I could type all day, best way to get a 100k pot is with one, but I've used 500k pots witha 100k across the outside lugs.
How many lugs of the pot are you going to need?

would two 50k pots in series work?

how many lugs are you going to use ?
if you put the lug 1 of pot 1 < all four other lugs as wiper and lug 3 of pot 2 as > [other outside lug]...and turn...tune etc. [I guess]...for all that I'd probably just get the 100k or try the effect of a 'doctored' 50k...maybe you don't really need a full 100k Variability of resistances there, and can 'cajole' a 50k with resistor[s on the side[s of it...I don't know...maybe try it...I'd just go for the 100k.
but...you'd have to turn them just so to get the same ranges [left and right of the wiper] and ratios as a 100k.
For something that would be tuned and left...ok...just tune and leave.
But for the wah sweep pot...I'd use 1 pot of course.

i would probably only connect one pot to the circuit and then connect that pot in series with the other one if that would work.

When all else fails, the DMM will tell all.
