I ordered several 'value packs' from futurlec and while they were nicely packed and all, the resistor values are kind of small.. i think.. :(

1     ohm x 10
12   ohm x 10
15   ohm x 10
22   ohm x 10
47   ohm x 10
100 ohm x 20
120 ohm x 10
220 ohm x 10
390 ohm x 10
470 ohm x 10
1k          x 40
1k2        x 10
2k2        x 10
2k7        x 10
3k3        x 10
4k7        x 10
10k        x 20
22k        x 10
33k        x 10
39k        x 10
47k        x 10
100k      x 20
470k      x 10
1M         x 10

or what do you think ? Other experiences ?

i ordered a capacitor value pack and they were primarily worthlessly tiny values.

I got a value pack the other day and thought it was a good deal.  I guess it depends on how the person filling your order is feeling that day.

I ordered a bunch of those packs from electronics goldmine, i kid you not it was the biggest bunch of crap, total waste of $80  I was really pathetic yo should see the pots too, I didn't know wether to laugh or cry. :(  :D

I got a box of resistors with over a 1000 and so far i've only been able to use 1   :?

You might just want to go to some sites where you can get a discount of 10 or more and just buy up some of the common values. And when you are buying parts for a project just get extra if you can geta discount for a certain amount. Then you will have some for the next project

Unless i'm missing something those prices seem pretty high.?

I'm in the US, 5lbs is around $10 right? For 5 caps?

You can get those here around 10 cents a piece, even less when you buy more than 10. I can get the .47 caps $3 for 25.

Am I reading that wrong?

If you want to get a few other members to go in on it go to Circuit Specialists and order your resistors in lots of 1000 and pick the values you want.  They come in boxes of 1000 (5 packs of 200) for $3.  Just make sure you divide them up by 200 of each value so you don't have to count them out.  It is the best deal out there.
