I want to build my bass player a pedal. I was thinking the bazz fuss but don't know which variation to build of it (original version? home-wrecker version? buzzBox?)

Any other suggestions?

1uF input cap, 10uF output, +ve towards IC. Two germanium diodes or one germanium, one silicon for best results.

The "Electra" distortion is quite nice, its in Torchy's layouts, very simple
just add a 100k vol pot on the output and use bigger caps for C1/C2, say
between 0.22's to 1uf polys .
Should work fine for bass, its only 9 components !!!

Of all the Bazz variations, I prefer the Buzz Box for bass. But, the original version is good, too. The original is a bit rough (nice) sounding, and the Buzz Box is a bit smoother sounding. You could make the Buzz Box and install a DPDT switch to bypass the first section. Then you'd have both in one box! 8)

yeah i'll second the buzz box.  if you're losing too much bass, use LEDs they clip less but give you more bass through the circuit.
