In an attempt to keep things straight, I've moved wui223's phaser problem here.
wui223 sez of his Phase 90 clone:
Quotei am having the same problem, no phase effect.
IC 1 IC 2 IC 3
pin 1 4.1v 4.2 4.1
pin 2 4.1 4.2 4.1
pin 3 1.2 4.2 4.1
pin 4 0 0 0
pin 5 2.6 4.1 4.1
pin 6 2.0 4.3 4.1
pin 7 4.2 4.2 4.1
pin 8 8.2 8.3 8.3

zener diode : 4.1v
1N418 : 8.2v
PNP 4152: C- 0.8 B- 4.1 E- 4.1
FET (2N5485)
Drain 4.1v Source 4.1v Gate 4.1v

I am using tonepad schematic and use everything stock
My analysis of this, on the face of it is:
Quotei am having the same problem, no phase effect.
Does that mean you are getting the uneffected signal through?

QuoteIC 1 IC 2 IC 3
pin 1 4.1 4.2 4.1
pin 2 4.1 4.2 4.1
pin 3 1.2 4.2 4.1
Either this is a mistake in measurement or IC1 has a problem. Pin 3 is shown at 1.2V, which would require pin 1 to be at 1.2V. Instead, pin 1 is at 4.1V. 4.1V is where pin 1 should be, which leads me to think that it's a measurement error.

Quotepin 4 0    0   0
pin 5 2.6 4.1 4.1
pin 6 2.0 4.3 4.1
pin 7 4.2 4.2 4.1
pin 8 8.2 8.3 8.3
The question I have here is how did pin 7 of IC1 get to 4.1V when it should be oscillating? Pins 5, 6 and 7 should be almost impossible to get a steady reading on, they should be varying. If the oscillator is not running, this is a possible source of the no-phasing complaint.

Here's a problem, maybe. The base and emitter should not both be at 4.1V for this transistor to be active. The base should be 0.4V to 0.6V more negative than the emitter. The emitter is (er... should be...) tied solidly to the 4.1V reference, so the base should be down at 3.5 to 3.7V, pulled down by the 150K to its collector. The collector should sit somewhere around 2.1 to 2.3V.

Maybe other stuff too. Can you remeasure the voltages to make sure of the places where I noted questions about measurement, and start poking into soldering and wiring on the 2N4125 and IC1?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Thanks for ur kind attention. Instead of debugging the Phase 90 i convert the effect to Phase 45 using Tonepad schematic. Again the phase effect isnt there only clean sound. I list down the voltage below. I use the 5.1v zener diode instead of 4.7v as suggested. The FET used is 2N2485

pin  IC 1      IC 2
1     6.3        4.1
2     4.2        4.2
3     3.7        2.8
4     0           0
5     1.1        3.8
6     4.2        4.2
7     2.3        2.3
8     8.5        8.5

FET
Drain 3.8v
Source 4.2v
Gate  4.2v

Zener  4.2v

I hope this time i am gonna fix it else it will be recycle
