Hello,
I'm building a Sansamp GT-2.
I have a problem with the clean tone when the pedal is in bypass mode.
The problem is that the signal is not completely clean... i can hear a little dirtortion.

On the GT-2 bypass mode, the signal comes in the first Amp-Op and then leaves the box by the output buffer.... The problem is not on the bypass circuit because i put a jumper to "force" the bypass and the problem still occours....

If anyone know what is this problem i will be glad... i'm trying to solve it for a long time and can't find a solution.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Wagner.
Thanks,
Wagner.

You probably need to wire the switch so it grounds the input of the effect when the pedal is bypassed like this: http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/grndin.JPG

Note that I found this is the FAQ on this very site.

Hello Rick,
Thanks for your answer, but i think you didn't understand my problem.

I'm not using true bypass or DPDT or 3PDT... i'm using an electronic bypass... so when the pedal is in bypass mode... the signal still goes through some parts of the circuit, like the first AMP-OP and the last Transistor Buffer...

When the signal goes through this way it is supposed not to have any distortion... just the clean sound... and that's my problem... i can hear a little distortion when the pedal is in bypass mode... and the problem is not on the bypass circuit because i've already tested it.

Thanks again,
Wagner.
Thanks,
Wagner.

Are you grounding the input to the part of the circuit that normally produces the distortion?

wcampagner

Hello Andy,
Yes, the input is not changed when the bypass is ON or OFF.
Is there any problem doing it?

I am doing ecxactly the same way as the original pedal does... that's why i don't know why this problem is happening.

Thanks again,
Wagner
