Where's the best place to get veroboard online?  I've looked around a lot but am not finding any good places.  Thanks

You can click above on Store. It's called stripboard.

Reviving 10 years later to ask how things have changed. Sorry if there's already a current topic, but this is what the searches returned.

Well, I have some cheapie stuff, probably from Radio Shack or something, but I want to get into vero since there's many projects that aren't available as perf. I'm been using perf for my own projects for years, but I just ordered the vero track cutting tool and I'm looking over some possible projects to get my feet wet.

What is everybody using these days? I see all the major pedal parts vendors stock various kinds, but I don't want to buy a little bit from everyone and end up with inferior quality or stuff I'll never use.

So what's you favorite vero/stripboard type or source?

Phenolic or epoxy, 0.01 or 0.015 hole spacing. Big pieces available.
I like the epoxy.

I buy all my vero from there. Good selection, good prices. They sell on EBay too.

You like the epoxy better? Price difference is big. Is it really worth it to buy the epoxy stuff? Harder to cut or drill out the tracks?

What's the ebay store called? I do a lot of shopping on ebay.

Any comments on experience on these options?

Also, any comments on tinned tracks vs. bare copper?

I've liked the ease of soldering the plated through hole double sided perf I've been buying direct from China lately, and wondering if I should avoid the bare copper stuff if it requires extra attention or just a quick scrub with a green scotch-brite?

I usually grab mine off of amazon but have no idea how cost effective it was when I was buying them... I got these and cut to size as needed:

Ironically, I began etching PCBs a couple weeks after I ordered 10 packs of those (30 - 2"x10" boards) 13 months ago, so 9 of them are sitting in my drawer unused. Lifetime supply at this point I suppose since I still use them every so often for small one-off quickie projects and stuff.

The epoxy sheets i've bought work out to 0.15(cdn?) per square inch. I'd use the same tools to cut and drill and they fly through either material.

I just use the generic stripboard from Tayda and it works fine for me.

Ah! Tayda, I didn't even think of them. I'll throw some in on the next order for sure.

They were under the "Pixel Print" moniker, but I had a quick look today, and I can't find them. I see that they take PayPal on their own website now, so maybe they've dumped EBay to sell everything direct, and save on fees.

I see that they added test points too. Cooooool. 8)

I used to but vero locally (jaycar, rockby). when soldering, listen for small *crak* sounds. I rekon it's the sound of the glue letting go of the copper. if you hear it, don't buy that board again.

also, phenolic, and plated. I hate cleaning copper every time.

Well I went digging through my stash and it turns out the vero I have is from Tayda afterall. Not sure how old it is, or if it's even the same stuff they still sell, but it's been at least a few years since I bought it.

While I wait for a track cutting tool to come from the UK, I supposed I can get started right away using a drill bit or something.  :)

I've already got several projects stuffed and soldered including a perfboard green ringer I just did tonight. Maybe I should finish these first..

Nice! Mine's a bit more high tech, complete with spindle top...

Scavenged it out of a Canadian Tire drill and screwdriver hobby kit.

I'd like to hear more about these boxes. PM me if it's a secret?  :-X

no secret, they probably love the business. I did a little bit of architectural metal work when i was roofing but that was nothing more fancy than church flashing and guttering. nothing like making a plenum or anything. it does require some tools i do not own..and I am always afraid of cutting a finger and not being able to play guitar lol so I just buy em if I need em
