Could be the amp/guitar. Yep, increase the treble cap size and let us know.

definitely was the amp/ guitar!
my main marshall amp had blown power tubes. i just fixed it and tried the treble booster. worked good . not really ear peircing like the kay amp.  only problem was it didn't distort as much on marshall.(tsl602)
i like it bettre on the kay amp so i switched input cap to .01uf instead of .005uf.
sounds more bassier but it took away from the treble booster sound.
i will proabaly change it back and add a small cap to the boost pot to lower high frequencies instead and see what happens.

When you helped me wire up my pedal, i hooked up the input jack the way you said and also left black battery to lug 5 of terminal. you said the input jack will now turn battery on and off. does this mean that my battery will always be on. like taking same power  as if pedal is on or bypassed?
what is the difference between having the switch turn battery on and off instead of the input jack?
wont the battery last longer when switching battery power with switch?
