RAT 2 PROBLEM....I TOOK READINGS. CAN SOMEONE INTEPRET?!

i tried following aron's suggestions as best i could. the unit will not sound up, although if i crank the level pot, i can hear VERY slightly the signal. when i short the drive and level pots' solder joints, i get a full functioning signal with the switch working too. anyway..any help greatly appreciated.

RAT 2 (cream circuit board). red LED, LM308 chip.... no sound when engaged, sound when i short (touch one with each hand) outter solder joints of two outer pots. switch works when i short these.


readings when unit turned on (red LED with 1/4 cord into input)

battery voltage    7.21 (in circuit)  7.25 (disconnected)

IC pin readings:

transistor A   Base=7.02   Collecter=2.82      Emitter=0
transistor B       =7.03            =6.58             =.63(LED flickered when tested)

one leg of the 6 legged switch read .62, the rest read zero

either lug on power jack=7.15

all 3 level pot solder joints               3.48
all 3 drive pot solder joints               0.00      
all 3 filter pot solder joints                0.00

We really need a bit more info. See the sticky "What to do when it doesn't work" at the top of the forum and see if you can supply:
