Excellent   :D
Any idea when you'll be able to offer knobs as well ?

Does anybody know where I can get a TO-18 sized transistor socket?  I'm prototyping a fuzz face at the mo and want to try a few different transistors to see which are best for me...thought with sockets I could do a bit of plug'n'play.

Lots of germanium transistors, pots, old resistors, caps etc. VERY good service with fast delivery.

http://wah-wah.co.uk

J201, 3PDT switches, inductors etc. excellent service as above.

Rapid electronics as mentioned earlier are also very good and fast.

For transistor sockets I use socket strips from Maplins or Rapid electronics cut into sections of 3. I put a post on a few months ago asking for this info if you do a search under 'transistor sockets' you should find the part numbers for both suppliers.

Maplins are Ok if you need stuff in a hurry. Try doing a search under electronic components in Yell or in your local directory. I found a local supplier who had a few CA3080s left for a few pounds.

In my experience, this is the best way to deal with Cricklewood Electronics.

Mr RSH, at the prices you quote you'll get my business for stompswitches and J201s too. Please let us know when they're in!

RSH - do you have any images of your products, or a catalogue as I have trouble knowing which of your products are the ones I want. Specifically the 2.1mm DC jacks, battery clips and 6.25mm jack sockets.

If i'm not back in 5 minutes, just wait longer...

Pictures are one of the things I'm lacking on on the site, and I'm hoping to get that sorted soon. In the mean time email me from the site, and I'll send images of specific components.

RSH Electronics

I've had loads of emails wanting to know when we are getting the 3PDT switches in.

They're in transit right now, and should be with us very, very soon  :)

I have put them into our stock list on the website, so they are now available for pre-order. The minute they arrive I will send them out.

They're on the front page, and also under Switches > Push Button Switches. Item Code 7335-070 £5.50 each

AND... We are now able to ship to 38 countries worldwide, AND I'm about to extend our V24 log pot range too  :D

Here are a few things that I would like to see here in the UK. [And not with the large, difficult to deal with companies that constantly p!$$ me off]

Cheap Hammond enclosures, not the expensive ones. (You can get them at maplin)
max1044 chips! I can't find these babies anywhere in the UK!
A wide selection of jfets/mosfets and switches which RSH seems to be covering nicely now :)

Rapid. They do some knock-offs that are much better made than the Eddystones and are about £3 a pop.

Why not use the LTC1044?

We have stocked the ABS boxes with machine screw fit lids for a while now, though only in grey. I must try and source some black ones...

@ Mr RSH

Fantastic site and range of components. Good news about the 3PDTs.

Personally, you could be my "one-stop-shop" if you sold these :-

= Rev Log pots in 500K and 100K
= Knobs (preferably Fulltone and Boss styles) not a big range.

ABS boxes are really no good for pedals, not shielded. Aluminium enclosures are what we use, I see you have a range, too bad you don't have pics.

You'd think that Maplin would actually list the dimensions of the enclosures listed on their site wouldn't you?

I'm all ready to go with my Fuzz Face - just waiting for my unibit to turn up in the next few days.

Does anyone know where I can get some decent knobs to fit my 6mm Alpha pots?  Most of the suppliers I have looked at only supply those teeny push on ones - really want something like a chicken head or mxr knobs but those are probably only available for 6.35 mm pots.

I'm with Gez on His assessment Re: Maplin, every time I go there I come away with about half the things I require, Chrishopkins !!!! You'll find Steve at Smallbear has some quality knobs, I got some from him before (Fulltone type) and it was superfast transatlantic delivery and  it can actually be cheaper buying from Smallbear than Maplin, well thats my experience plus at least you get what you need. Rapidelectronics have also proved to be very good thus far.

I've used Rapid to get all my components but had to use Maplin to get the footswitch.

Rapid are great!

I've had a look on Small Bear - I think I'll be ordering their Alpha pots and knobs in future as they appear to be 6.25 mm and not 6mm!

Thanks for the tip - much appreciated.

For UK ally boxes (better than the Rapid ones), pots (bigger range than Rapid), chickenhead and other cool knobs, try //www.cpc.co.uk. Good prices, fast delivery. Not knocking Rapid at all, but CPC have a wider range of products. Oh, and the best prices for Celestion and similar speakers, too.

RSH do you stock LTC1044 ?

RSH Electronics

Apologies, Freddy205 I didn't get notified of your question, it's probably a bit late now, but in answer, not normally, but we can get hold of them...
