Hi there mga kabayan! Its nice to see some locals here ha! hehehehe.. Anyway, km-r i've seen your CMOS switching project... Pwede bang mashare mo yung experience or performance ng ginawa mo? Is it worth building rather than importing mechanical switches?

I've stopped building FX for months now because I wanted first to re-house all the effects I've built in metal enclosures (Yep! all my FX are housed in plastic material) and have not yet started doing it.

I would just like to ask for drilling tips. I know there are drilling tips in the wiki area pero gusto ko Philippine setting. Baka kasi may mag-suggest ng paggamit ng iba't-ibang tools na di naman readily available locally. Kaya eto na tanong ko.

1) What drill(hand drill? electric hand drill? drill press?) did you use in boring holes in your metal enclosure.
2) Is it hard to put a hole in the exact position you want using an electric hand drill (this is the only drill in my possession and have just bought it)? How would I avoid misaligning or worst flying enclosures.
3) Did you employ the use of Unibit? If so, where is this available locally?

Any other tips would be of great help. Salamat!!!

Wala nang sumagot sa tanong ni shadow...

Pasensya na bihira na din ako kase mag log on dito. Mas ok kung ang gagamitin mo eh drill press at simulan mo muna sa maliit na drill bit hanggang umabot ka na sa tamang sukat. Mas maganda kung ang bit mo ay para sa hard metal na type ng drill bit.

Ang ginagawa ko kadalasan eh nag sisimula muna ako sa 3mm, bubutasan ko muna lahat pati yung malalaking butas gamit ko 3mm para eksakto sa gitna yung mga butas bago gamitan ng malaki at masa madali mag drill pag maliit ang bit.

anyway, im housing my effects in plastic boxes from alexan and lined the interior wit haluminum tape for shielding...
i bought that aluminum tape for Php175 at handyman...

Mga kabayan walang nag reply ng post ko about OS2 nag feedback baka may maitulong kayo.Here is the situation, effect off-ok ang sound. effect on-high pitched feedback but if gain down to zero no feedback.if gain increased nag feedback na naman at normal naman yung effect sound may feedback lang even without input signal.saan kaya may problem? halos lahat na capacitor pinalitan ko na.tinangal ko sa housing medyo bumaba ang feedback,nag hum naman.

either your pick ups are microphonic that the guitars feeds back, or there is just too much gain coming from the pedal.


check mo din yung wires na ginamit mo sa loob (kung may pinalitan ka). usually long wires are a no-no for high gain circuits.

you can also search the site for tips on how to cure feedback problems.

original pa yung wires at maski walang guitar nag feedback na or oscillate as long as effect is engaged.at nag iiba ang pitch ng noise pag pihit ko ng gain pot.ano ba tama paglagay or arrange ng wires(input,ground,output)kasi binaklas ko yung wire tie nilinis ko ang housing.
