nice box, where did it come from?

boognish

there's a "radio" store that only opens for a few hours on saturdays by me, they've got some great stuff there and it's super cheap, i think i paid $1 for that case maybe another dollar for the jewell

internal shot, kinda messy but sounds good

built this smokeyish amp last week, more salvaged parts from a surplus store maybe cost me 5-10 dollars total

Both look great!  I really like the speaker cab for the amp.

Thrift/surplus stores can indeed provide some very funky enclosures.

My Nurse Quacky resides in this one:

yea i love thrift stores, for one you save some dough and you also have to get a bit more creative/inventive to overcome the limitations of your parts, sometimes it works out really nicely, cool enclosure btw

Boog, the contrast between the box and the indicator and knob, also the cryptics on it 'say stuff' to me, [like...it's the 'engine not the paint' I'm focusing on]. I like it !!!
That half watt 'speaker box is a collector item in my 'book', these compound rounded corners are quite pleasing and increasingly rare, your amp looks really cool.
B.T.'s Nurse Quacky recieves adequate venthilation, and shows what designers of [50's-60's ?] made for a cool looking metal box design/art.
I'm always on the hunt for cool looking metal boxes...especially ones that have a vintage flair.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

the speaker box is actually a nalgene water bottle :) cost $1 looks pretty cool
