can anyone give me a list of different diy bass effects that are available here. tnx in advance

niftydog

I don't think anyone necessarily keeps a list of them all. Besides, many effects can be altered to suit bass by a few simple tweaks.

I guess the popular ones around here and the Bassballs and Bazzfuzz or whatever it's called.

hi,

all pedals can be altered for bass guitar use. I like mxr dist+ and the overrdrive 250 for the gain and the high end attack characteristics.

Gain/ dist boxes usualy suck out low end

delays, and modulation circuits usually sound fine with bass

But most of the time i find myself using only a compressor and EQ to boost my mids coz' i always use my pick and i get the Rancid/Distillers pick sound.

could anyone point me to some mods that would work for a fuzz?

try to change the input and output cap of your pedal
that simple !!!! 8)
Sorry for my bad english !!

Try to raise the input and output caps ... and try to use 2 signal fonts too ... the effects and the clean input .. and mix them ...

Distortion, and some modelers like chorus, they tend to loose some bass ... low frequencies ... so you could use this like a crossover ....
O hi pass filter and then a blend of the two signals ... at least it's an idea ...

if you do something like this .. please show os some audio clips

Gabriel

ps: sorry for my bad english

You can increase the input and output caps and you can put a lowpass filter before you feed the signal into the pedal

You can use a hi pass filter for aplying effect just in the hi frequencies ... and then blend with the original input sound ... ok ? =)
