"Torchy"  * simply got tired of the hassle to have to answer the same old questions again and again about >circuits<, that he "just" provided layouts for - so he decided to remove the source of the hassle for him.

*(amongst  a few other unpleasant observations)

He assumed that by now enough people would have saved the layouts on their HD, so it would not be such a bad/hard move.

Those people may now answer the upcoming questions.

He asked his account to be deleted, so he wouldn`t be bugged with emails and PMs...

so: plz respect his move, and keep him in good memory for the great stuff he provided - like y`all did in the past -
I wish him more rest and peace of mind to enjoy his hobby now.

Well, that answers the question as to if it would be alright to share his previous works -- If puretube is able to speak for him here ( I assume he's been in contact w/ torchy), torchy is giving permission to save and share, and just doesn't want to be bothered with general support issues (and rightly so - this is his hobby and not a business. :) )

Take care,
Brian

I`m not "able to speak for him", nor do I speak for him...

I just wanted to let the people that are/were interested in Torchy know some of what he wrote me last week...

Thanks for letting us know, puretube.  I for one have the utmost respect for Torchy.  Even though I've been a member for a short time, the contributions he gave besides the vero layouts has been a wealth of knowledge and helped me along greatly.  I haven't built any vero layouts myself but just studying them has opened new doors and made things a little easier for me to understand.  I don't know why, but I actually prefer perfboard myself.

I will miss seeing him around here.  He's not the only one that has been helpful in my DIY ventures though.  There are many, including yourself.  I thank everyone who has shared knowledge with me, answered my questions (even the silly easy ones), give input and just even simple words of encouragement.  It keeps the fire burning.

It's obviously more than that.... I do wish Torchy well and hope these threads die soon....

Sorry, I didn't mean that the way it came out, I just meant if he mentioned that in his letter to you, than the kind of puts the question to rest as to whether or not it would be alright to share torchy's vast collection of works here in the diy world.

Thanks,
Brian

I personally think this whole thing is getting way too much attention. Time to move on
