Hello @ all,

I built the Little Gem Amp, and I am not lucky with the sound  (Strat - Little Gem - Celestion 12")! After that I used the Preamp  of my Vox AD15VT, and the Sound was great!
Now I`m looking for "a cheap / easy to build" Preamp, and I saw  (and heard!)  Professor Tweed (http://runoffgroove.com/professor.html). I think the Sound is amazing,  using their Randall Amp. I`m wondering how the Professor Tweed with a Little Gem Amp works, i think it could sound great, but i`m not sure.
What do you think? Can I use the Professor Tweed as a Preamp for my Little Gem? Do you have another idea for a better Sound?

What do you mean?

Sure, you can use it.  You may have to play a little bit with the three level controls (PT output, LG Gain, and LG output) to get an acceptable sound, but there is no reason why it should NOT work.

Just remember that everything you add on that depends on the battery will shorten the lifespan of the batetry.  I recommend using a 6-pack or even 8-pack of AA cells, instead of a 9v battery.
