Hi Nelson,
Check your inbox...I've still got a coupla parts values that need a bit more clarity, but not that many...

Cheers

Hank, the way you have drawn it the connections between pages arent clear, if I were to stick it on webspace it wouldnt be clear to those downloading it (be like a jigsaw puzzle) could you make it a bit clearer and I will def host it.

The thign that looks like a variable cap is just a 5uF cap atleast going by the board pictures I have. :)

I have all the bits I need to clone this beast now, Thanks to Britt-stinker I have some pretty decent photos and I got him to mark the offboard components etc. It is just a matter of putting The peices together and drawing it up.  :D  :D  :D

I will probably need some help :)

Could you tell me what the big white line is on the PCB, is that a big long jumper with many connection points?

Im not sitting with the box right now. But last time I did I was wondering what it was, I came to the conclusion that it was just some kind of seperater or sometinhg like that. Im pretty sure it wasn't soldered to the board.

nelson

can you check next time you get a look, it does appear to be soldered to the board in the pictures.....

I will check it tonight

Confirmed in PM its a big jumper.

Ok, thought I would share my work so far. I have cleaned up the PCB artwork provided by stephen.

Wow this is really killer guys! Keep up the good work,  I would love to try to build this monster. I don't even want to know how many trimmers have to be set just right.
....the staircase had one too many steps

nelson

I am at work jus now, but from memory I think it has 7 trimpots in total.

8)

I should have this project ready for testing in a couple of weeks with some luck. There is a long jumper down the board..... I think I have figured out where it should go. I asked britt stinker to circle where the jumper is connected on the trace side of the board as you cant tell from the pictures, no reply yet.

Ok, I have decided to go the vector route. Thanks for the advice bill. That image I have posted is no good for PnP no matter how hard I try it still has greys in it  . It wont look as quirky and curvy, it will look more like the board for the polychorus with more angular traces.

Should be easier to etch.

Will post it when I am done.

Should have just done this to begin with.

yeah, it`ll fit right in a diamond 5-hole E-H box,
when you use the appropriate rotary switch and long-legged pots,
and low-profiled axial electrlytics...

Hammond 1590DD.    If I build it it will fit.

Looks great Nelson, so if I'm following the thread, you imported this into MS Powerpoint and it cleaned it up? or was there more to do?.

nelson

I used MS visio. Pasted it in and traced it using vector graphics. I use MS visio for designing all my PCB's.

Just a little update for those that are watching my progress.

This is the layout so far, its going to take quite a while to figure out all the values from the schem. and fill on some blanks under the pots, if anyone wants to lend a hand........
