Photocoupler trans IDEA

What if you used a phototransistor coupler with a darlington setup in front like a supasustain..to drive the led..you would have to add a 10K to the collector of the phototransistor to bias it..than added a simple LBP-1 onto it....input would be the led.....wouldnt that make like a swell type of unit...as you play louder the phototransistor would gain as you played softer it would slow.....Wouldnt you have a swell type of gain...This may be nuts but look at a MOUSER catalog one time and see all the stuff you could use in audio...Thanks Steve
