I have a revision D reissue and it seems that all the online schematics and DIY layouts/schematics must mirror the old version.  The cap and resistor numbering system seems to be off when trying to change an input/output cap, etc..  Does anyone have an updated schem or know the assigned cap numbers for the input/output caps for the reissued Dynacomp?

Also, what's the difference between the old and new Dynacomp as far as components go?  Man, if I had known the switch and pots were soldered directly to the board I would have just made my own Dyna/Ross.  This thing is cumbersome!!!

I would build my own anyway and sell the reissue.

Yeah, I just ordered a bit of Press 'N' Peel blue and PCB from Small Bear so, I figured I'd etch quite a few future projects at once with the Dyna/Ross being one of them.

In the meantime, I was flirting with the tone caps of the reissued MXR trying to widen the frequency response.  I'm not even going to try an attempt to make it true bypass though.  I'll save that for the DIY version.

Without even having seen the reissue schem, just increase the input output caps to 10 uF. No idea whats going on in the rest of the circuit but its good practice for wide frequency responce.

What don't you like about the frequency response?  Not enough highs, or not enough lows?  Or too much?

If not enough highs, look for an Ibanez CP-9.  They're <$60 used, not worth it to DIY - the OTA inside is easy to find (different from a Dynacomp though), but there's a weird dual pot which is difficult to make, and impossible to find.

Otherwise I'm trying to crack the script nut at the moment - AFAICT it's just the chip type (various types of 3080s were used, the old old old ones had metal can types) and different caps (tantalums everywhere) and resistors (carbon comp).
