What are these ??? Foil caps ???

Hmmmm, a friend of mine unloaded all his electronis junk on me, tons of resistors and caps and a bunch of TI TLO72 op-amps but I'm not quite sure what these are :



Anyone ???

I think those are Polstyrene caps. I think they are more accurate than most other caps. I think they usually come in smaller sizes. The size should be printed on the side.

interesting ... the reason I said foil is 'cause there is something that looks like tinfoil on the inside ... They have values that seem cap-like but have an H under the value ... Assuming not an inductor :) ...

Nice score.

Yep, those are polystyrene's.  The cap of choice for stuff you want to be temp stable and accurate.  I use them as timing caps in VCO's and filter caps in VCF's.  I love'em!

I'm assuming they're non-polar ??? The values are in what ??? Pico, Micro ???

they are just like poly film caps, I removed some from a boss BF-2...same capacitor number code usually.
