hello everyone!

so, i've been upgrading my rig for a while, and besides CH-1, volume pedal, i have an EasyVibe, EA tremolo, and planning to build a LPB booster...

also i want to buy myself a delay unit, but the amp i've built, doesn't have an effects loop (i thought i don't need it), and i'm a bit confused since the pedals in effects loop should deal with a almost line level signal, instead of  the small couple of mV guitar singal, won't those effects distort? like delay for instance (or a chorus pedal or an easyvibe).

another matter that came into my mind, i remember reading an article about Dave Gilmour's equipment and i thought i read he has somekind of buffer or a booster after all those effects, due to signal loss...

how many pedals in series (mostly bypassed), do really affect on the signal loss?

where do you put your delay? before the distortion, after, or in the effects loop? i use my amp's distortion, so no post dist. placement, unless i drill a few holes in the back and install loop jacks ;)

I put reverb/delay right before the amp. Fuzz Boxes may act wierd' when clipping delayed signal, phasers too...might be what you want tho.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

The effects loop on my amp has a switch connected that allows you to select settings from -10 to 0 to +4 for level matching with your effect(s).
I can use stompboxes or digital rack gear in the loop without distortion or signal loss.

I put delays after distortion pedals or in the effects loop.
