My small clone clone will work with battery but wont work with the EH 9v PSU, The EH PS isnt regulated. The LED comes on but doesnt blink, does blink with battery. I think this is because I used the LM358P instead of LM358N the LFO isnt working at the higher voltage the PS is putting out, I have some LM358N coming so I will find out, I would just like to know if I am right? everything is wired up correctly.

Also where can I read up about the different letters at the end of IC names and their meaning?

Thanks.

I know it's been a very long time but the info may still be useful to some.

"The suffix denotes the manufacturer's packaging code.
The 'N' is used by most manufacturers for the plastic 8-pin package.
The 'P' is used by a few manufacturers for the plastic 8-pin package.
Raven Luni is right, there is NO difference between the two devices, just the mfgrs."

just thinking aloud,

have you tried a 9v regulator from your psu to the pedal?...if its workling fine on a 9v battery,  it might be worth a shot.
