OK,
So what'll we use instead of a set of matched 2SK30-GR ? The 2SK30-GR are seldom seen these days... usually only 2SK30A-Y is available from the usual Japanese components suppliers. Different Vp and Idss ratings.

Quoteyou can likely use the same jFET and zener combinations that work in phase45/90 clones

I wonder if I could luck out using J201s on this one. I used J201s in my Phase 45, and it actually worked fine (even though they are not supposed to...). This is a pretty cool sounding one, I'm very temped to build it. From what I gather, that PCB layout has all the bugs worked out of it now?

That's sort of why I wonder if it might not be better to use a pair of staggered bandpass filters to create notches, since the control elements don't have to be matched to create respectable sweep.  Hell, you ould use just about ANY two LDRs jammed up against an LED and the bandpass filters could be easily tweaked to provide the desired stagger.

As for the PCB, Spudlike is correct I think - plus it doesn't make circuit sense to have a short there Basile ...  merci for taking a close look !

... and  just in case you want exactly the same devices - Steve's got 2SK30A-GR's

It will be interesting to see what other combinations of Zener and jFET types everyone's gonna come up with ...

Jamming with the pedal yesterday made me realise it might be nice to trim the low-end response on it a little and/or have a variable intensity control to accomodate different amp speaker combinations ... if you're playing loud in an open-back amp like a Twin it can get a little HEAVY on the spkrs when rocking the pedal  full back ...

ok well, let's do some work on the schematic! I will post it later!

For the JFET, it's a very good news from SmallBear! One again: Thanks SD! You're just like a savior!

ok! Let's rock.....

See you soon!

P.S:
:?:  :?:
Men, why it's so hard to make some DIY guitar FX while I'm developing a 3000-lines-length VHDL system   :?  :?  :?  .... I'm gonna have some troubles with those both worlds!  :?:  :?:

But defenitely.... I prefer analog DIY guitar FX, it's the most hasardeous and chaotic thing and I love IT!

I've noticed that the phasor stage is not completely made with the quad op amp... the first, second and fourth op amp are form ua3080 and the third is from a noissy dual..... Perhaps should it be better do make the whole phaser stage?!!??!!??  :?:  :?:

If someone can help me?

See you soon

"3403" is a pretty lousy quad op amp, very sensitive to capacitive loading and prone to HF oscillation, not well suited to audio work although you see it used in old fx gear since  it can run from a single-supply. Not too different from an LM324 in performance....

Maybe a TL074 might be a little better? I have a few of those lying around, too...

Vsat

Motorola (now On-Semi) MC34074 is a good LM324/MC3403 upgrade that works well on single-supply. MC34072 for singles. Great for driving cables as well. TLC274 TL074 should also work, watch out for HF oscillations though (scope advisable).

Lord, I'm glad I'm not the one going back through that to make a schematic up! It would drive me nuts, since nothing is labeled underneath for me to know if I'm on the proper component or not when I flip it back and forth. It looks very interesting, and doesn't seem to have as many components as I would expect, for what it does.

... orthogonalized

I'm building mine using NE5532's, 2n5484's and appropriate Zener ... other features I'm thinking of : Univibe cap ratio switching, post preamp cap select (similar low-end situation as the Small-Stone), other routing variations ... it will probably end up being a big ugly box with lots of knobs and a jack for hooking up a remote foot rocker ...

Eb7+9 ... omfg I just twigged who you are

Ive been wanting to thank you for sooooo long for your site, so, erm, thanks !!!

And thanks for the schematic too.
