does it matter where the wires go to from the board to a power adapter plug? Is there a negative or positive wire ?
Thanks in advance!

Not if you use a powersupply that puts out 14 to 20 V AC(!). If it puts out DC, I think you should connect the + wire to pad K and - to J. To make sure, you should leave out the bridge rectifier (the DB-1) and connect your + wire (from the DC(!!) powersupply) to where the rectifiers + leg would normally go and the - wire accordingly.

Hope that helped!

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a Dunlop 18 volt power supply that is used for their univibe. Should that do the trick?

Yes, it will work. Just make sure you insulate the plug from the powersupply from your enclosure. You must use an insulated powerjack. The Dunlops AC adaptors plug has the usual Boss-type "plus outsinde, minus inside" connection + --(o-- - , so even if you leave out the DB-1 you should use the insulated jack.
