Featuring minimalist enclosure with all the controls shoved off into the corners, blatantly ripped off from Charlie Barth!

BTW, I had told formerMember1 here the other day that I bought some cheap "super bright" red water-clear LED's from Mouser to try in this thing, and in fact I ended up ordering miniature ones by mistake (part #351-3230), and they still worked OK.  Some of the controls are only really effective near the top of their travel, and maybe a brighter, larger LED would change that.  I'll swap it out one of these days and see.  But it sounds amazing.  Buttery smooth!!!

I didn't have a trimpot below 1M, so I just tried out half a dozen resistors until I found one that gave a very slight volume boost.  For me that was 1.5K.  I will likely have to change this if I change the LED, so I'll have to go get a trimpot eventually... anyway, I wish I had understood the circuit more clearly...I instinctively kept trying higher and higher resistances and got more and more gain and distortion and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong!

looks great to me.  i really like the diy look.  are you going to label the pots?

I'm going to put a sticker on the rear, right behind them... of course I already know what each of them does.

Looks great. Is there a perfboard layout available for the Lune?

Hal

thats a beautiful job on the perf, especially considering its non-copper clad stuff.  I don't go anywhere near that :-D.

Thanks!  There's no perfboard layout on the commonsound site, but they offer lots of pdf's of big pcb diagrams, including a backwards one so that you can follow along with your point-to-pointing.  I just propped it up in front of me and wired it freehand.

You could do what 4ms themselves used to do, and print a reverse copy of the pcb on regular paper, glue it to some really stiff cardboard, poke the holes, and lay wire along the lines.  My Triwave Picogenerator and Atoner were made that way...

Good one John. Now, be careful... I'm in the process of getting a patent on that design.
Nice looking build, too. The Lune is one of the best sounding tremolos I've built.

Congrats!
