I'm so happy and amazed, I just had to post this.

Today I had the first opportunity to take that baby out for a ride since I built it over a year ago. Until today I only played it through my amp at less than bedroom level. Today I played it at "real" volume, and it totally blew my mind. What sounded like a nice fuzzy drive at bedroom level turned out to be some serious bad-ass british distortion. This thing made my Strat / Fender amp sound like a Les Paul through a cranked Marshall (mine's got Si clipping diodes instead of Ge, maybe that's playing a major role)... now this was really worth building. It's almost a pity I'm playing in a blues band again  8) .

Thumbs up, recommend this one for everyone looking for a nice "pocket marshall"! The Foxx Tone Machine really has some serious tone.

I don't know if I'd be so quick to make the Marshall comparison, but as far as fecal matter goes I would agree that the FTM *is* quite blessed.  One of my faves.

Are you using the Octave?
I know it has a Fuzz in 'front', it sounds like that's what your'e describing

exactly. I'm talking about the sound with the octave turned off (I have a second stomp switch for it, not a toogle like the original).

OK so maybe I exaggerated a little bit... but it was really amazing to hear THAT sound out of a fender amp...

I used to have a Way Huge Piercing Moose, and I really liked the sound with the octave turned off.

But I liked the cash I got for the pedal a lot more!!!
