I'm sure this has been done a million times, but I haven't seen it here before.

If you're building a FF clone, and want to add a tone control (like one on aron's "simple mods" page) heres a cool little trick. Get a 500k linear pot with a spst on the bottom, the kind that clicks off when the pot is all the way down (i got mine on accident at frys for $2). run a line from the FX out before the Volume pot. Put this line to one of the polls of the spst on your 500k, then put your tone mod, (I used one on the simple mods page) and run its IN to the other poll. Now you can have your "Stock" fuzzface sound, unaltered by the tone control, then click it on for a bit of tone tweaking. Best thing is you can kill the tone so you aren't stuck with any volume loss.

As I said, I'm sure I'm not the first to try it, but it's a cool and EZ mod!

Yeah; that sounds pretty groovy, man.

You can also use the "Maestro method" with the volume control, and 9V battery wire (turn off the current from the pedal so you can leave the pedal plugged in).
