I need a narrow enclosure like the one used at pedal-racks (pedalboards.com) for a small tap delay, channel switching, sample reversing control pedal I am making. Anyone know where I can get something like this?

Also, I am going to try his XLR cable power trick some time.

I suspect somewhere there is a factory crankin' out an extruded aluminum ships ladder step or similar metalwork that if tapped would make a nice resource for cutting off some for a long box top and 2 sides..
I'm a little surprized that there isn't someone extruding aluminum sides and top lengths, cutting them and tacking in ends. I have a strong aluminum ONKYO reciever panel I put a S.Blend, BMP, Booster, 4 jacks and a wah in, still have room yet for more...it has stress 'T's running the length of the long sides to keep it from twisting.
I framed it for 4 appealing sides and a bottom, and backed the tuner indicator window. It'd look really cool with Drum Covering on the top.

It's not cheap but Mouser has Hammond boxes as small as 2"x2"x1.06" deep.  Part#546-1590LB - around $7.00.

Good Luck!!
